Fremont Therapy celebrates its 25th year in business!

This month, Fremont Therapy Group celebrates 25 years of providing physical and occupational therapy care, making it the longest-running, physical therapist-owned clinic in Fremont County.  The first of its six clinics opened in Riverton in 1996 and it remains home to all primary company operations.

Today, FTG serves Fremont, Sweetwater, and Carbon Counties in six clinics that were designed and built specifically with patients’ and therapists’ goals in mind. We have invested millions of dollars to create clinics with ample gym space, private treatment rooms, and built-in aquatic therapy pools, which allow patients to begin their recovery sooner and with less pain. Our clinics are furnished with state-of-the-art rehab equipment and tools, allowing our highly skilled staff to provide patients with the exceptional care they need to achieve great outcomes.

“We are proud of the growth we have been able to achieve, both in terms of geography and the ever-evolving role of physical therapy in healthcare.  Physical therapy improves the quality of our patient’s lives and contributes to lowering the cost of healthcare overall,” states Brent Kaufman, founder and CEO. “With over 70 employees, Fremont Therapy is among the larger employers in the state, and we continue to grow as a group. Several of our most seasoned physical therapists are also partners in our company and leaders in the communities we serve. They will continue to carry our vision and our team well into the future.”

Wyoming has come a long way when it comes to direct access, which means patients can seek the advice of the professional they feel is best suited for their unique situation. Physical Therapists are the experts in movement and work closely with all medical professionals, so whether or not surgery is needed, physical therapy can provide quick pain relief and equip patients with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve the highest level possible in their recovery.

“Keeping our focus on providing great care to our patients has always been our top priority,” states Kaufman, “so we work with a nationally recognized leader in the outpatient rehabilitation industry, US Physical Therapy, to bring industry expertise to our local team and add to the strength of our administration, including compliance, recruiting, human resources and more. They also help negotiate better rates with insurance companies, which has resulted in better therapy benefits for our patients and better health insurance coverage for our employees. Our clinicians also enjoy access to a broader range of advanced educational resources and professional development opportunities that further benefit our patients and our communities.”

Our leaders and our team are the most important part of who we are — together, we comprise “Fremont Therapy Group.” Collectively, our professional team has advanced training in the widest range of specialties and certifications available. In addition to doctorate and post-graduate level degrees, they are board-certified specialists and/or specialize in Sports, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, Pain, Lymphedema, Pelvic Health, Dry Needling, and much more. Our physical and occupational therapists and athletic trainers are also embedded in several school districts to service those in need of developmental and preventive care. We are proud to acknowledge the many staff, who have chosen to stay with us, some for decades and even longer.  Many of our therapists started their careers with us as students and they have continued their careers and established their lives and raised families in our communities.

We thank all of our communities in Wyoming for your 25-year trust in Fremont Therapy Group to provide your physical therapy needs.
