The guide suggests the following steps for purchasing a Medigap policy.
Step 1: Decide which benefits you want and then decide which Medigap policies meet your needs
Step 2: Find out which insurance companies sell Medigap policies in your state. They recommend you call your state department of insurance for a list!
Step 3: Call the insurance companies that sell the Medigap policies you’re interested in and compare costs.
Step 4: Buy the Medigap policy. Taking extra care to make sure you fill the application out correctly!
