Expect strong winds, possible snow today; Red Canyon recorded 80 mph gust Monday night

(Fremont County, WY) – According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, snow will continue across the west this morning.

After a break this afternoon, more snow will arrive to western areas tonight, and some light snow is possible today east of the Divide as well.

High temperatures in most of the County will stay around the mid to lower 30’s, Dubois topping around 22 degrees, with lows in the mid teens.


Strong winds will continue across southern and central Wyoming.

The Red Canyon – South Pass area recorded an 80 mph wind gust Monday evening, with folks in Lander experiencing gusts from 50 to 58 mph.
