#Activate10: Fundraiser organized for Riverton resident who lost their home in structure fire

Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

Just after 4:00 pm on June 4th, a structure fire was reported on Elder Lane in Riverton. It reportedly started in an unoccupied trailer, and the cause remains “undetermined” at this time, Riverton Fire Chief Henri DeClercq shared.

No injuries were reported. However, the fire consumed the unoccupied trailer, one occupied trailer, and heat-damaged two surrounding trailers.

Family members of the one occupied trailer that was a total loss reached out to County 10, and shared that a fundraiser has been set up to raise money for cleanup and starting over. Information about the fundraiser can be found by clicking here.
