Fremont County roads have been impacted by recent weather changes, bus fly-bys, increased reports of crashes, and more. County 10 wants to share Wyoming’s ‘Rules of the Road’ as a friendly reminder for drivers traveling on Wyoming roadways.

Weather
Road conditions:
- Wet road – Reduce speed by at least 5-10 mph.
- Packed snow – Reduce speed by at least half.
- Ice – Reduce speed to a crawl. You may have to slow even more if vehicles are ahead.

Emergency Vehicles
A Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper was injured on October 31st, 2019 while assisting a stranded motorist on the shoulder of Interstate 25 south of Wheatland, WY. The trooper was inside her patrol vehicle with her seatbelt fastened when her vehicle was struck by a passing commercial truck. The trooper was transported to the Platte County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the commercial vehicle did not sustain any apparent injuries and was not transported.
