The 2019 Pedigree Stage Stop Dog Sled Race will begin in one week.
On Friday, January 25th twenty-six different teams will begin the race in Jackson’s Town Square. They’ll venture throughout western Wyoming and into Idaho for a small stretch.
British Columbia musher Lina Streeper has won the last two consecutive races. The Stage Stop has taken place every year since 1996.
Fremont County fans can see the dogs and mushers in action Tuesday, January 29th and Wednesday, January 30th. On the 29th, teams will be arriving into the Lander area, and a “meet the teams” event will be held that evening. On the 30th, teams will depart from the Louis Lake parking lot area on South Pass.
