    Wyoming County Commissioners Association Names New Executive Director

    (Cheyenne, Wyo.) – The Wyoming County Commissioners Association has named Jerimiah Rieman as the group’s new Executive Director.

    Rieman brings over a decade of experience in legislative affairs and public policy to the post, with expertise in a wide variety of federal and state issues. “I place great value in the work I have undertaken with Wyoming’s county commissioners over the past decade. As servants dedicated to the health and safety of their constituents and the care and respect for Wyoming’s lands, each of them has my greatest respect,” said Rieman. “I do not take lightly the faith they have placed in me to lead their association. I look forward to building on the legacy of my predecessors and leading the Wyoming County Commissioners Association to new heights.”

    As the WCCA’s Executive Director, Rieman will represent the state’s county commissioners before the Wyoming State Legislature, work collaboratively with the Wyoming Governor’s office and other state and federal agencies on local government issues, and provide outreach and guidance to county leaders across the state.

    Rieman most recently finished an eight-year stint working in the office of former Governor Matt Mead, holding the positions of Director of Economic Diversification Strategy (ENDOW), Natural Resource Policy Director, Natural Resource Policy Advisor, and State Planning Coordinator. Before his time in the Governor’s office, Rieman was an Administrator and Policy and Legislative Advisor in the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.

    “The WCCA is truly fortunate to have Jerimiah joining our organization,” said WCCA President and Laramie County Commissioner Troy Thompson. “His knowledge of legislative issues and his experience in the Governor’s office will bring a distinct advantage to our group when working on tough issues with federal and state policy makers.”
