    Tigers, Cougars roar on the gridiron

    Lander Valley 28, Powell 26 (Powell scored with 20 seconds to go, but the Tigers stopped the two point conversation attempt for their first win under new head coach John Scott.

    Wind River 28, Rocky Mountain 0 at Ethete. The Cougars win their second in a row to start a season for the first time since 2009 and snap a six game losing streak to the Grizzlies. Wind River’s defense held Rocky Mountain to minus 10 yards rushing and 61 yards passing while rolling up 281 yards rushing and 116 passing yards for 397 yards of total offense. Cougar scores came on a one yard run by Kage Vogel, and runs of 86 and 66 yards by Morgan Miller and a 10 yard TD run by Jaren Guina.

    Evanston 48, Riverton 8  – Evanston wins for the second year in  a row at Riverton. It was the first game on the Wolverines new turf field surface.
