    ATTN: Teens! Creative Writing submission deadline is Thursday, Feb 28 at 5pm

    Does your teen have a gift for creative writing? Put their talents on display with this fun, creative writing contest presented by the Fremont County Library—Lander and the Lander Library Friends Association.

    This Teen Creative Writing Contest can be a wonderful way to boost your young author’s confidence and creative expression through writing!

    Encourage your 7-12th grader to submit a piece of original work which explores any topic of their choice. Bonus points for originality and authenticity! To offer a head start, feel free to use this year’s theme: It’s Written in the Stars as a prompt (*optional).

    BASIC GUIDELINES:

    • For teens in 7-12 grade living in Fremont County, Wy
    • 1,000 words or less
    • Deadline for entry Feb 28th, 2019 (5PM)
    • Download Entry Form at fclsonline.org

    Writing will be judged in two categories: 7-8th grade and 9-12th grade. They will pick one winner for each age group and winners will receive a check for $100 from the program sponsor: The Lander Library Friends Association.

    Submissions are due by 5:00PM on Thursday, February 28th, 2019.

    Winners will be announced on or before March 25th, 2019.
