A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.
Shoshoni High School hosted their first ever “PLAN for Success Day” on Wednesday, November 7th. The event gave students the opportunity to interact with many community members from various occupations and colleges, as well as learn many post-secondary skills.
Over 30 different groups attended the event designed to help students with professional development, life-skills, academic development, and networking, hence the acronym (P.L.A.N.)
Courses included topics such as vehicle maintenance, basic first aid, employability skills, effective communication, self-defense, job interview skills, financial future, healthy living, cybersecurity, smart social media use, home renting vs. buying, study skills, pet care, basic cooking, buying your first car, child development, photography, the Hathaway Scholarship, securing internships, dance, and the great outdoors. Motivation speaker Eddie Slowikowski concluded the day with a presentation.
