The week of July 4th, 13 Room to Dance competitive dancers will be headed to sunny Las Vegas for 7 days. In just 2 weeks, they will be competing at a huge National Competition (K⭐️R).
“This Nationals is shaping up to be one of the biggest our dancers/studio have seen in our 9+ years competing,” said dance instructor, Jessie Murray. “I am so privileged that I get to work with an amazing group of hard working, TALENTED young dancers!”
The dancers are involved in several fundraising opportunities to help pay their way to National and Regional competitions. This last weekend they had a booth at Hudson Daze selling fresh squeezed lemonade, baked goods and face painting. They work very hard fundraising and training to meet their goals. During the school year, these dancers are in class an average of 8 to 10 hours a week.
So far this dance season, the studio attended 2 main Regional dance competitions to qualify for 2 different National competitions. June 29-July 5 they will attend K⭐️R (Kids Artistic Review) National Dance Competition in Las Vegas at The Mirage with a total of 22 dance routines. This includes solos, duos, trios, and group performances. They will be doing one dance routine that will include everyone and every age group. This routine is a production number titled “Dorothy’s Adventure In Oz.”
Hard work pays off and is visible in the number of titles, trophies, and special scholarships that these competitive dancers bring home.
We wish these dancers the best of luck in Las Vegas!
