#Smiles: Riverton football players clean-up over 3,000 pounds of trash

A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.

The Riverton High School football Wolverines created a new fundraiser that helped beautify the city this spring.

Instead of the traditional door-to-door pitch of asking for donations, the group was inspired by Riverton’s “Kick’n Trash” group to help clean-up their town.

Several citizens donated $10 per 50-gallon bag of trash that a football player would collect. In total, the football players collected over 3,000 pounds of trash, which filled 10 truck beds!

Because of the donations, RHS has been able to ensure themselves a spot at the summer football camp hosted by Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota this June.
