Shoshoni gains more economic stability in time of uncertainty

(Shoshoni, WY) – In a year of financial loss for most, the Town of Shoshoni’s general fund grew by nearly $500K. Several municipalities across the State have turned to them for their budgeting model.

Their journey to increased economic stability began in April 2020 when the Shoshoni Chief of Police Chris Konija stepped in to temporarily fill the Town Clerk vacancy. He now fills both roles full-time at 60-hours per week.

Utilizing his knowledge of fiscal management, grant writing, and forward-thinking, the Town’s general fund increased to $1.4M within eight months.
