Last year we received a lot of feedback from attendees. What they liked, what they loved, and some of what they’d like to see this year. From all the things we heard, there were some really smart coffee drinkers out there who did it right.
Yes… there is a right and a wrong way to enjoy the Roasters Rendezvous.
Here’s what the smarties did:
One – They purchased the VIP ticket online. Why? Because they didn’t want to miss A THING! Purchasing your tickets early ensures you get one of their super cool mugs for bottomless coffee tastings. And access to workshops (more on that later).
Two – They waited to drink their coffee until they arrived, dragging their coffee-deprived bum to the Intertribal Center promptly at 9 am. Can’t wait that long for coffee? Trust us… it’ll be sooo worth the wait! There will be dozens of coffees to taste and you don’t want to miss a thing.
Three – They penciled in the Coffee Cupping 101 into their schedule for the day. If you attend only one workshop… THIS IS IT! Learn all you need to know about smelling, slurping, swishing, tasting, and yes, spitting coffee.
Four – After you’re an expert on all things coffee, you’ll be released to the Tasting Floor where you can strut up to each table and know exactly what you’re doing. ?
Five – When you’re all jittered up and happy as a clam, make your way to one of our food trucks, Smokehouse BBQ and Gary’s Rojo Verde, for some grub.
Six – Now that you and your friends have sobered up a bit, it’s time to check out the vendors, enjoy the live bands, Lost Springs and Speakeasy, then say “Cheers!” at the Photobooth. Tag Roasters Rendezvous and use #WYCoffeeFestival for a chance to win a gift basket full of coffee and swag from this year’s roasters!
Seven – Go home, crash for an hour or two, then head downtown for a coffee cocktail, live music by Low Water String Band and get some veggies for the week at the local farmers market, 4-6 pm.
