A 28-year-old Riverton man was killed in a one-vehicle crash near Billings, Montana Thursday night.
Kenneth Crawford III died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries according to Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner Rich Hoffman.
He was pronounced dead at the scene as emergency crews worked to pull the SUV he was driving out of an irrigation ditch.
According to the Billings Gazette, the SUV struck an embankment and then launched into the air. The vehicle crashed onto the opposite side of the ditch before becoming submerged in the water.
Crawford was not wearing a seat belt according to the Montana Highway Patrol. Drugs, alcohol, and speed are all being investigated as contributing factors.
