Friday night Wyoming Senate President and Riverton resident Eli Bebout, and his long career of public service were celebrated by friends, family and peers.
Wyoming’s Republican party brought in a Who’s Who list of prominent politicians. Present at the celebration were: US Vice President Dick Cheney, US Senators John Barrasso and Mike Enzi, Representative Liz Cheney, Governor Matt Mead, Governor candidate Mark Gordon, Representatives Lloyd Larson, Tim Salazar and Cale Case, and recent Gubernatorial candidates during the preliminaries Foster Friess and Bill Dahlin.
Various speakers delivered humorous and heartfelt words recalling their memories of Bebout and his time in politics. The evening was capped with Bebout expressing his appreciation for the relationships he’s enjoyed with many in the room and the voters of Fremont County.
