Eve and her husband have been in Riverton for six years and living at the Ol’ Wyoming Motel since April.
We live in the motel and I care for my diabetic husband. I lost my job and haven’t been able to find anything. I’ve tried everything. We are here because of my mother-in-law who has now left and moved to Arizona with her boyfriend. I’ll manage, I’ll make due. I’m just tired and I can use all the help I can get. People drive by and yell ‘get a job’ at me. I’m trying. Every morning, I’m looking for work and then come out here around 11 to help make ends meet. Someone slingshotted a metal ball and it hit me the other day. I’ve had garbage and cups of piss thrown at me. It doesn’t feel like a community. We will figure something out, we just got stuck.
