    One count involving controlled substance facing 22-year-old Fremont County resident

    All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Marcella Knowles, 22, of Fremont County, is facing one count of conspiracy to deliver narcotic controlled substance.

    The charges are related to an event that took place in Fremont County on December 7, 2017. Knowles had a preliminary hearing on July 24th, 2019, the case is being transferred to District Court.

    According to court documents, Knowles advised a Confidential Informant (CI) that they could purchase a narcotic controlled substance from another suspect. It is reported the CI met Knowles and the other suspect at a Riverton residence where money was allegedly exchanged for pills. The pills were later identified as a narcotic controlled substance by the Division of Criminal Investigation.

    County 10 has not received any additional information about the other suspect.

    Knowles is being charged with:

    • One count conspiracy to deliver narcotic controlled substance (felony) has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for no more than 20 years, a fine of no more than $25,000 or both.
