(Wyoming) – An arctic airmass has settled into many of the Northern Plains states and is making things downright cold across Wyoming.
Many Wyoming communities woke up to below zero temperatures, some reaching -20 with wind chills that were much colder. Most spots are expected to remain with below zero temps throughout Friday and into much of the weekend.
A small warm-up is expected early next week as temperatures will return to the 20’s and 30’s.
Light snowfall is possible in Fremont County Friday with totals around an inch in some spots. Western and southern Wyoming could see some significant accumulation again Friday.
