Lander Ambassadors raise $49,000 for local initiatives

On March 2nd, the Lander Ambassadors held their bi-annual Extravaganza event. “The event was a huge success and a great show of support by the Lander Community,” said Ambassador President Bob Tipton.  In addition to the Lander Ambassadors, the Water for Wildlife Foundation staff. Lander Chamber of Commerce staff, and the One-Shot Antelope Hunt Club also volunteered in support of the event. In addition to the fundraising events the evening was highlighted by the outstanding performance of Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers band.

Monday, April 8th at the Water for Wildlife/Evans Dahl Museum, the Lander Ambassadors presented a check for $24,500 to Water for Wildlife Foundation. This donation will allow for the completion of our Water for Wildlife/Evans Dahl Museum building renovations. Final completion is expected this summer. “Upon completion of the renovations, the WFW Foundation will be adding wildlife conservation exhibits, historical exhibits from the One-Shot Antelope Hunt and host community meetings and events,” said Vickie Hutchinson, Executive Director at Water for Wildlife Foundation.

The Foundation will use the museum and center as a destination place for all to learn about conservation, especially how sportsmen support conservation. Timeline planning and fundraising is already underway for the museum exhibits. The plan is for the Water for Wildlife Center and Museum to open late this Fall.
