    ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL WITH DISTRICT ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR DUTIES

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    TITLE: Assistant Principal with District Activities Director Duties

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Valid State Certification for Principal

    2. Five years successful teaching experience

    3. An earned Master’s degree granted by, and in good standing with, the national or  regional accrediting association

    4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find  acceptable

    REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Superintendent (AD duties)

    SUPERVISES: In conjunction with the building principal, all teachers as well as all classified  personnel employed within the assigned building.

    JOB GOAL: Apply leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to promote the  educational development of each student.  Duties will be an approximate 50/50 split between Assistant Principal and Activities Director.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. The Assistant Principal promotes the success of all students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning  that is shared and supported by the school community.

    2. The Assistant Principal promotes the success of all students by advocating, nurturing,  and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student  learning and staff professional growth.

    3. The Assistant Principal promotes the success of all students by ensuring management  of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective  learning environment.

    4. The Assistant Principal promotes the success of all students by collaborating with  families and community members, responding to diverse community interests and  needs, and mobilizing community resources.

    5. The Assistant Principal promotes the success of all students by understanding,  responding to, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal, and  cultural context.

    6. The Assistant Principal promotes the success of all students by acting with integrity,  fairness, and in an ethical manner.

    7. Adheres to all applicable laws, policies, and regulations governing the operation of  Fremont County School District #14.

    8.  Other duties which may, from time to time, be assigned by the District  Superintendent.

    DISTRICT ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervise the district athletic/activities programs.
    • Creates and distributes schedules and is responsible for the hiring, payment and scheduling of officials.
    • Develops the athletic/activities budget as directed by the superintendent and business manager.
    • Maintains records for all school sports/activities (eligibility forms, physical forms, athletic codes,WHSAA materials, athletic purchase orders, clothing/equipment purchase requests, rosters, competition information, etc.).
    • Coordinates transportation requests between the Transportation Department and coaches.
    • Stays current and knowledgeable on all District policies, WHSAA rules, regulations and meetings.
      Supervise all coaches including certification requirements and updates.
    • Coordinates public relations including media, athletic fundraiser/marketing, athletic calendar posters, event concessions and revenue disbursement.
    • Attend WHSAA and  League meetings and represent the school in matters concerning bylaws, schedules or other issues.
    • Completes evaluation of head coaches.
    • Teams with the principal in the overall coordination of building activities.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 210 Day Contract

    EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal/Superintendent of Schools
