The new Shoshoni Senior Citizens Service District passed the primary election by 120 votes and has a total of 10 candidates vying for 5 seats.
This new special district covers the same resident areas as the Shoshoni-Lysite Cemetery District, shared Shoshoni Mayor Joel Highsmith, and was created in hopes of stabilizing funding.
