Dubois, Pavillion, and Shoshoni will have new mayors

    (Lander, WY) – Unofficial tallies from the Fremont County General Election show that Fremont County will have at least five new mayors.

    Riverton’s Rich Gard replaces Lars Baker, and Lander’s Monte Richardson won the election over Andy Gramlich, replacing Del McOmie as he steps down from the office.

    In Pavillion, Richard Johnson defeated incumbent E. Tex Frazier by a total of 50 votes to 36 votes. There were 5 write-in votes.


    In Shoshoni, Joel Highsmith will take over as mayor defeating Ronald Ankeny 149-90.

    In Dubois, John Meyer received 263 votes compared to 173 of incumbent Twila Blakeman. There was 1 write-in.

    Meanwhile, in Hudson Michael Anderson will remain in his mayoral spot. Anderson ran unopposed and collected 144 votes. There were 3 write-in votes.

    Tallies remain unofficial at this point, but according to the Fremont County Clerk, all precincts and absentee votes have been reported.
