The annual Community Peace March on Saturday, July 13th had last-minute changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Instead of marching down Main Street, attendees gathered at the Bandshell in Riverton’s City Park at 6:00 pm to hear the guest speakers.
Organizer Ron Howard notes, he plans to have everything worked out for next year so the march can take place. Ron also shared there are some plans in the works “to keep the message of peace and tolerance fresh throughout the year.”
Speakers included: Republican Legislator Representative Tim Salazar, Chesie Lee, Carol Deering, Karla Borders, Tony Tolstedt, Dr. Dodie White Eagle, Bethany Baldes, Sergio Maldonado and others.
