    Closures, postponements, and more due to COVID-19

    Below is a compilation of additional closures, postponements, and changes to planned events, businesses, etc…It’s very likely more will be shared in the coming days as this list is not comprehensive of all the COVID-19 impacts it is having on our local communities.

    High Country Senior Citizens Center – Dubois: Due to recommendations from CDC and the state, they will be closed March 17 – April 1. There will be no public building usage of any kind (no exercise facility, computers, etc), as it has to be sanitized and kept that way per code. Staff will still be preparing meals for curbside pick-up and home delivery. All out of town public transportation has been canceled until April 1, 2020.

    Riverton Airport Cafe: Is temporarily closed along with the counter in the secured area until March 28th.


    Wind River Hotel & Casino, Little Wind Casino, and 789 Casino: Tuesday’s Club 55 promotion is suspended immediately. No meals, free play, or promotions will be offered on these days.

    Wind River Hotel & Casino’s Free Bingo scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2020, is canceled.


    2020 Home and Garden Show: This event has been canceled. It was scheduled at the Casper Events Center on March 20-22, 2020.

    2020 Wyoming FFA Convention: This event has been canceled. It was scheduled to be held April 15-18, in Cheyenne. More information can be found by clicking here.


    WY Democratic In-Person Presidential Caucus & County Conventions: This has been suspended. Voters are highly encouraged to vote by mail; caucusing at drop-off locations on March 28 and April 4 is being evaluated.


    The University of Wyoming Extension Offices: All in-person events have been suspended through March 31 due to coronavirus concerns. The suspension also includes all 4-H-related in-person activities.

    County extension offices will remain open and maintain established office hours, dependent upon circumstances within a county, said Kelly Crane, extension director.


    The Wyoming Game and Fish Department: The Commission meeting, planned for March 19 and 20 in Cody, will now convene on March 19 via teleconference, and the Wyoming Outdoor Hall of Fame planned for March 20 is postponed.
