    Central Wyoming College’s Kovick/Jones Place 1st/2nd at Battle of the Borders

    Montana State University-Northern ran away with the traveling trophy at the 3rd Annual “Battle of the Borders” held at Sinks Canyon Center over the weekend.

    Rustler Brayden Kovick led the way for the men’s team as he cruised to a 1st place finish ahead of 2nd place finisher, teammate Parker Jones.   Kovick and Jones have been leading the Rustlers as they compete and push each other day in and day out.   “These two guys are going back and forth in winning races, and they make a tough duo as great training partners,”  said Coach Lara. Other runners for Central were Jared White who finished 8thLukas Mathews 9th, and Florenzo Bauer 12th.

    Paige Flock led the women finishing in 4th, followed by Breanna Beaslin 7thJessilyn Monahan 8thSienna Schuler 10th and Kirsten Knezovich 11th.

    The Rustlers will take two weeks off of competition before traveling to Denver to run in the Denver Metro Invite.
