Tonight at the Lander vs Powell football game, Lander Valley High School’s Student Council will be holding a “Pass the Helmet” fundraiser to raise money for Ethan Asher. Ethan is a Powell High School senior and football quarterback who was involved in a serious vehicle crash at the end of August. More information on the crash can be found in this post from the end of August.

LVHS shared the following information about tonight’s fundraiser:

At the end of the first quarter of today’s varsity contest, student council members will come into the stands and circulate Lander Tiger helmets accepting donations to help with Ethan’s ongoing medical costs. Student Council President Ryan Brinda commented, “we may be competitors on the field, but as a school, we want to use this opportunity to have the community come together to support Ethan and his family during this difficult time.”

Orange “Prayers for Ethan” bracelets and “Ethan Strong” window clings and stickers will also be available as you enter the stands for a donation to the Asher family.

Anyone unable to make the game, but would still like to donate please stop by the LVHS office or call 332-3640.

Today’s game kicks off at 4:00 pm followed by the varsity game at 7:00 pm at the newly renovated Bill Bush Stadium.

Riverton High School athletics also raised money for Ethan during the zero week football scrimmage against Powell and the Riverton Volleyball Invitational. More information can be found in this post.
