After a few inches of new snowfall over the weekend and now some strong wind gusts, travel in some areas of Fremont County has become pretty difficult.
As of 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has issued the following warnings;
- No Unnecessary Travel US 287/ WY 789 between Sweetwater Station Jct and Jct WY 28/US 287.
- Extreme Blowover Risk – No Light, High Profile Vehicles on South Pass (10:30 a.m. update: South Pass Blowover Risk cancelled – conditions are now slick in spots with strong winds and drifted snow.)
- Slick conditions and drifted snow on WY 135 between WY 789 and WY 139 and between WY 139 and Sweetwater Station Jct.
- Slick with snowfall on Togwtoee Pass
