Two years later, Riverton double homicide remains unsolved

(Riverton, WY) – On January 5th, 2019 the Riverton Police Department began investigating a double homicide at a residence in the 1100 block of East Main Street.

30-year-old Jocelyn Watt and 30-year-old Rudy Perez were found murdered by gunshot in their home.

Community assistance has been sought in finding leads for their killer. A 24/7 dedicated phone line was established for tips about the case. Thus far, there have been no arrests.

Watt’s mother, Nicole Wagon, released a statement to County 10 earlier this week about the case.

“Today my heart is heavy and it’s two years, too long. I keep up with legislation & law enforcement to assist with “JUSTICE” for my beautiful daughter, JOCELYN WATT including her companion RUDY PEREZ (Jocelyn’s beautiful memories will never be forgotten)

My daughter is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe she touched many lives with her gift of song for others.


MAY the COMMUNITY MEMBERS of the WIND RIVER INDIAN RESERVATION take A STAND and say NO MORE to being silent. It’s going take a COMMUNITY with their VOICES to make it better for our native people and the upcoming generations.
