(Riverton, WY) – 10-year-old Nixon David, of Pavillion, raised a 1031 pound steer that sold for $15 a pound Saturday afternoon during the 2021 Junior Livestock Sale.
Nixon died earlier this summer from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash and the funds from today’s sale are earmarked to establish a scholarship in his name.
It was an emotional sale as his parents, Weston and Emily, along with his older brother Ford were in the arena wearing orange in his honor.
