“Why I Choose SageWest”

In many ways, rural living has made our hospital better. In fact, it’s one of the main reasons I joined SageWest Health Care. I love the idea of working in a rural area and not being limited in my ability to provide high quality OB care at this facility.
Administering high-quality, current, and evidenced-based care in rural settings can be a challenge. However, I am constantly impressed by how up-to-date we are at SageWest.
This success is truly due to the providers and nursing staff who are working ’round the clock to provide a safe environment and exceptional patient experience. Any new practice guidelines and recommendations are quickly put into place.
Take the OB Department, for instance. New research says skin-to-skin contact with mom after delivery is critical. Our nimble department was able to implement this new experience almost immediately. Now, after ALL deliveries we promote physiologic birth and strive to let women and their families have the birth experience they each would like to have.
All in all, it has been fun to be a part of this hospital for over 8 years. The change and growth (especially in the last year) I have witnessed, is commendable.
