    Homicide suspect arrested in Wyoming football recruit murder case

    (Dallas, TX) – On Sunday, April 11th Lancaster, Texas 17-year-old Tony Evans Jr. was shot and killed while in a hotel room in the Dallas-area.

    Another occupant was also shot in the hotel room and transported to an area hospital for unknown injuries.

    Evans had committed to attend and play football at the University of Wyoming this fall.

    Thursday evening, the Dallas Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect in the case;

    During the course of the investigation, homicide detectives determined that suspect Keyshawn Evanta Harris, an 18-year-old black male, was responsible for the murder of the victim, Tony Evans Jr., a 17-year-old black male. On Thursday, April 15, 2021, suspect Harris was arrested and charged with Murder, and a magistrate will set his bond.
