Fly Riverton reports a head start on the 2019 travel season

Warm, sunny days signal the coming travel season in Wyoming, and travel from the Riverton airport is ahead of the game.

Fly Riverton reports increased growth of 30% from 2018 in January alone over January 2018. Increasing use of Riverton Airport (RIW) is thanks to great service from Denver Air Connection and that RIW is now visible on united.com. And over the last 6 weeks, Riverton airport has outdone Sheridan’s airport in ticket sales for the first time in recent history.

“This year’s numbers so far have us optimistic,” said Mick Pryor, of the Fremont Air Service Team (FAST) Committee. “Growth equals continued air service. And a thriving airport contributes to economic vitality in Riverton, Lander and all of Fremont County.”

“We see these numbers as a sign that the community values Denver Air Connection services from Riverton,” Pryor continued. “Having reliable, local air service has been critical for employee recruitment for several Fremont County businesses.”
