Lander resident Lloyd Larsen is currently serving his fourth term as the Republican Representative for Wyoming House District 54. He has worked on a variety of projects during that eight-year tenure in the legislature broadening his ability and effectiveness in serving his constituents.

Larsen and his wife Becky planted deep roots here in Fremont County over the past forty years having raised six children, owning a business in the petroleum industry, and helping out in the community wherever they can. He believes strongly in making Wyoming a place his children will want to return to and his soon to be eighteen grandkids can call home.

During his thirty-three years of owning a business, Larsen has employed hundreds of residents, and he continues to work on keeping and bringing jobs to Fremont County. His first year serving in the legislature, he stopped a bill that was aiming to close the Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander. In turn, he worked to preserve it and expand jobs at the facility.

He is also the current chairman for the 2020-Joint Legislative and Executive Task Force on Department of Health Facilities which is responsible for the new construction at the State Hospital in Evanston and at the Wyoming Life Resource Center.

All of his experiences, enhanced by his assignment to the Joint Appropriations Committee, have honed his feel for the impacts that come into our economy, as well as navigating through regulatory burden. He authored bills to streamline the bureaucratic burden that contractors dealt with on capital construction projects in town, cities, counties, state, community colleges and the university.

He sponsored the 2018 House Resolution #2 that is adding an amendment to the Wyoming State Constitution this election cycle that will remove the cap that has been challenging the municipalities as they try to expand and maintain their sewer infrastructure.

Larsen has support not only across Fremont County, but across Wyoming. His extensive endorsement list includes: Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores, Associated General Contractors of Wyoming, Wyoming Realtors, Wyoming Hospital Association, NRA, and the Wyoming Rural Electric Association.

Larsen is eager to continue serving Fremont County as the House District 54 Representative.
