    Early morning power outage in Riverton impacting up to 234 customers

    County 10 received several reports of a power outage in the Moose Drive area off of Sunset Drive in Riverton. Residents reported hearing a loud “boom” before they lost power. Crews are currently working to restore power for the 234 customers.

    The outage is reported to be caused by trees. Rocky Mountain Power confirmed a tree interfered with power lines and caused a transformer malfunction.

    It is also reported at approximately 8:30 am automated phone calls from Rocky Mountain Power went out to customers in the area updating the power restoration time to 10:00 am.
