Sublette County authorities have released the identity of a man who died in a Pinedale house fire last week.
67-year-old James Tipton of Pinedale died in the blaze after apparently becoming trapped inside of the house. According to an Associated Press report, a woman inside the home was able to escape and notified authorities that Tipton was trapped inside.
Investigators have not released an official cause of death. The fire remains under investigation.
The woman who escaped was treated for burns and smoke inhalation at a nearby hospital.
