2020 Pavillion drinking water quality report released

(Pavillion, WY) – The 2020 annual Water Quality Report, a.k.a. Consumer Confidence Report, for the Town of Pavillion was released last week.

This report is required by the EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and provides information about the town’s drinking water such as treatment method, source, contaminants, etc.

In the past year, a Level 1 Assessment and corrective actions, which were additional sampling, were taken due to the presence of coliforms, according to Pavillion Maintenance Supervisor Ray Choate.

Coliforms are “bacteria that are naturally present in the environment and are used as an indicator that other, potentially harmful, waterborne pathogens may be present or that a potential pathway exists through which contamination may enter the drinking water distribution system.”

The latest sample testing, taken in 2020, for coliforms indicates there is no violation on the report.

No other violations nor exceedances were noted in this report.
