    Wyoming’s snowpack averaging 96 percent of the median; Local snowpack lagging

    (Casper, Wyo.) – This is the 9th Snow Report for Water Year 2019 (2018-2019 snow season) from the Natural Resources Conservation Office of the USDA. Currently the state’s SNOTELs are reading 96% of median with a basin high of 137% and a basin low of 78%. Last year the state was at 109%, and at 129% in 2017.

    The Wind River Basin is currently at 91 percent of the median and the Sweetwater River Basin is at 85 percent of the median. See the statewide totals below:
