The Wyoming Game and Fish Department grabbed this photo and explained a rare circumstance in which a badger had attacked and killed a deer near Lusk, Wyoming last week.
According to the Game and Fish website,
This strange mound could be seen for miles across the prairie near Lusk, Wyoming. Upon investigation, Game Warden Vandeberg found a badger had tried to bury a mule deer. This was a first for Brady who has seen badgers cache many different animals, but never a cache 10 feet across in size. A badger will often cache food to hide it from other animals and to make the food last longer.
