Wyoming Community Bank welcomes Corte McGuffey to its Board of Directors

Wyoming Community Bank is proud to welcome Corte McGuffey to its Board of Directors. McGuffey stated, “I’m excited to join the locally owned community bank that is entirely focused on Fremont County and the success of its businesses and individuals, making this a great place to live”.

McGuffey is a native of Riverton, graduating from RHS in 1995. While studying chemistry, he enjoyed a great college football career at the University of Northern Colorado. During this time, he earned the 1999 Harlon Hill Trophy which is annually awarded to the top player.

After a brief professional football career, Corte went to the University of Nebraska Dental School in 2002. In 2006 he opened his own start-up dental practice in Greeley, CO. He provided preventive, restorative, oral surgery, endodontic, and implant services to patients of all ages for 12 years.

When the opportunity to become CEO of Bonneville Transloaders Inc. and Big Horn Divide and Wyoming Railroad presented itself in 2018, McGuffey took the job and moved back to Riverton along with his family.

“It was a difficult decision to sell my dental practice, but the opportunity to learn a new business and come home to raise our children in Wyoming was simply too good to pass up,” said McGuffey.

Corte has been married to his wife, Laura, for 17 years, and together they are raising two children. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and working on any project that helps make Riverton a better place to live and work.
