As the North Federal project continues in Riverton this year, Wyoming.com will continue to develop a “City-wide fiber network” in town. The company will be celebrating 25 years in business this year and fiber-optic internet is their newest offering.

According to a release from the company, “WyoFiber,” the brand name for Wyoming.com’s fiber services, is fully operational in some areas of the city and the company continues to expand until they can provide fiber to the “greater Riverton area.”

The network has been in the planning and design state for several years and finally beginning a pilot program in 2018.

Director of Sales and Marketing, Butch Cassity, indicated that WyoFiber has been well-received by the consumers. “When we first launched, we didn’t know what to expect,” Cassity admitted. “Fiber Internet is a rarity here in Riverton, and our Pilot Project for WyoFiber made those services available to a lot of businesses and residential customers instantly.”

With Riverton’s North Federal project moving along, Wyoming.com will spread fiber services further through town and is also developing services on the north side of Main Street.

Wyoming.com President Mitch Benson shared his thoughts on the upcoming buildout: “With the completion of the first phase of the North Federal project, we are now able to take our first steps in delivering WyoFiber north to businesses and residents” Benson added, “We are committed to our community, and we’re excited to keep moving forward.”

The next section of the WyoFiber network is expected to be completed this summer and will be available to those customers along its path.
