    Wind gusts up to 50mph, thundershowers expected for much of county Wednesday night

    The National Weather Service office in Riverton has issued a significant weather advisory.

    A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST ACROSS FREMONT COUNTY THROUGH 600 PM. THE BIGGEST THREAT WILL BE THE STRONG OUTFLOW WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH AHEAD OF THE STORMS AND DURING THE STORMS. THESE OUTFLOW WIND GUSTS WILL GENERALLY BE FROM THE NORTH OR NORTHWEST FROM THE SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORMS ACTIVITY. SEEK SHELTER INDOORS WHEN STORMS APPROACH. GATHER OR SECURE ANY OBJECTS THAT MAY BE BLOWN AROUND BY STRONG WIND GUSTS.

    Thundershowers are expected in the evening, giving way to primarily gusty conditions throughout the night. Thursday will have a 20% chance of showers for Riverton and Lander and high temperatures in the low 90’s. Dubois will see a high around 79 degrees Thursday.
