    • Digging Up Dubois

    “Digging Up Dubois” July 15, 7pm

    The Dubois Museum will host Dr. Dave Lovelace PhD. From the University of Wisconson-Madison Geology Museum on July 15th at 7pm. Dr. Lovelace will talk about two recent discoveries in Late Triassic rocks (~230 million years ago) near Dubois.

    Ancient amphibians living in ponds and streams experienced extreme droughts that led to their demise and burial. These sites are shedding light on this amazing deep-time ecosystem.

    This program is part of the Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series and is free to the public.

    • Vacation Bible School – Lander

      July 16, 2018  9:00 am – 3:00 pm
      Faith Lutheran Church, 1600 Sinks Canyon Rd, Lander, WY 82520, USA

      Vacation Bible School in Lander is coming July 16-20 at Faith Lutheran Church on the Sinks Canyon Road . “Beyond Belief” is the theme of this year’s VBS. There are two programs, one for children entering grades one through five with times Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to Noon. The second is for Preschool kiddos, ages three through those entering Kindergarten, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to Noon. All are welcome. Counselors from Sky Lutheran Ranch.       “American Solar Challenge” July 16-18

      The Pioneer Museum will host the racers and their solar powered cars crossing the country along the route of the Oregon Trail.

      Come to watch the racers arrive and take off, see the unique cars, vote for your favorite.
