UW Releases Draft Plan for Fall Semester

The University of Wyoming has released a draft plan for the 2020 fall semester. To reduce Covid-19 transmission the plan includes to mix in-person and online courses. In-person classes will start Aug. 24 and end Nov. 23, to which the remainder of the semester will be spent online. As for the two-day mid-semester breaks and three days before Thanksgiving will be converted to instructional days.

UW’s goal is to require testing for all students and employees, with results 14-days before their return to the Albany and Natrona county campus.
The school’s plans also includes enhanced sanitation, and have student conduct daily temperature and symptom checks. Residence hall rooms will be turned into single rooms, while public facilities will be set up to better fit social distancing standards.

UW will allow public comment on the plan on June 10 during a teleconference before being presented to the UW Board of Trustees.
