You’ve likely stopped to admire the jackalope at Dubois’ Country Store. Maybe even taken one of them for a ride.
But this particular angle captures just how good our local critters have it as far as scenery!
The legend of the jackalope began in the 1930’s when Douglas Herrick, a Douglas, Wyoming taxidermist, began grafting deer antlers onto rabbit carcasses and selling the combination to tourists at a Douglas hotel. For more on that story, check out this link!
