Riverton Middle School 6th-graders are celebrating their final day of school with a science experiment and a little fun.
Students gathered outside of RMS and launched a mini-hot air balloon. They learned about the process of hot air rising to heat the inside of the balloon, which causes it to become lighter than the cooler air outside of the balloon.
Staff members and students watched the balloon ascend north over the building and eventually out of sight.
For most Fremont County students, today is the final day of the school year. However, some schools around the county have one more week.
