    Shoshoni Lady Blue advance to state volleyball semi-finals

    Update: Shoshoni lost to Wright 3-0, scores went 22-25, 12-25, and 16-26. The Lady Blue play Greybull for third place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in consolation play. Pine Bluffs and Wright will play each other for the 2A championship. 

    The Shoshoni Lady Blue are the only Fremont County team to advance to the semi-finals at the state volleyball tournament happening this weekend in Casper.

    Shoshoni knocked off Glenrock in 4 sets Thursday, scores going 19-25, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-23. Shoshoni moves on to play Wright in the semi-finals Friday night at 6:00 p.m. They’ll either play Pine Bluffs or Southeast Saturday. If Shoshoni wins Friday, they advance to the state championship game. A loss puts them into the consolation championship.

    Wind River’s ladies have been eliminated after losing Thursday to Pine Bluffs 3-0, and Friday to Greybull 3-0.

    The Dubois ladies were defeated Thursday by Kaycee 3-0, but bounced back to beat Little Snake River in 5 sets Friday. Dubois will play against either Saratoga or Cokeville in a consolation game Saturday morning.

    Lander’s ladies fell to Rawlins 3-1 on Thursday, and are facing Buffalo in a loser-out game Friday afternoon.
