The Shoshoni Lady Blue are the only Fremont County team to advance to the semi-finals at the state volleyball tournament happening this weekend in Casper.

Shoshoni knocked off Glenrock in 4 sets Thursday, scores going 19-25, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-23. Shoshoni moves on to play Wright in the semi-finals Friday night at 6:00 p.m. They’ll either play Pine Bluffs or Southeast Saturday. If Shoshoni wins Friday, they advance to the state championship game. A loss puts them into the consolation championship.

Wind River’s ladies have been eliminated after losing Thursday to Pine Bluffs 3-0, and Friday to Greybull 3-0.

The Dubois ladies were defeated Thursday by Kaycee 3-0, but bounced back to beat Little Snake River in 5 sets Friday. Dubois will play against either Saratoga or Cokeville in a consolation game Saturday morning.

Lander’s ladies fell to Rawlins 3-1 on Thursday, and are facing Buffalo in a loser-out game Friday afternoon.

Shoshoni school students hosted a “send-off” party for their volleyball team Thursday before the bus ride to Casper. Check out some of the photos courtesy of Shoshoni Schools Facebook page below!
