    SageWest update, Public Lands Initiative will highlight Tuesday county commissioners meeting in Lander

    Tuesday’s Fremont County Commissioners meeting has a full agenda this week.

    Among the highlights, will be an update on the current state of SageWest Health Care from CEO Alan Daugherty.

    County Commissioners will also discuss the Fremont County Public Lands Initiative, and receive a recommendation package. The Public Lands Initiative was last discussed at the July 10th county commissioners meeting, and several dozen community members were on hand to speak to commissioners. Attendance was “standing room only,” and nearly 30 different people chose to speak on the topic.

    Additionally, the Wind River Visitor’s Council will provide an update, there will be a public hearing for the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act, Fremont County Museum Director Scott Goetz will also give an update, and the Fremont County Library will provide news on a vacancy.

    Meetings are in the commissioners’ chambers at the Fremont County Courthouse, 450 N. 2nd Street room 205. Meetings are open to the public, seating is limited.
