(Riverton, Wyo.) – When it comes to school breakfast and school lunch prices, Fremont County School District #25 in Riverton has some of the lowest priced meals in Wyoming.
Out of Wyoming’s 49 school districts, only six districts have a lower priced breakfast for students. At lunch, only four districts have lower prices.
Superintendent Terry Snyder reported the stats at this week’s school board meeting. He said Riverton’s breakfast prices are $1.35 for elementary school students and $1.45 for Middle and High School students. For lunch, elementary prices are $2.25 per student while the middle school and high school price per student is $2.45.
When it comes to the adult prices in the school lunchroom, District 25 charges more than 16 other districts for breakfast, at $2.25 per meal and the adult’s lunch cost is $3.75, with 13 other districts having a lower price.
The highest priced elementary breakfast costs were $2.25 and $2.00 at Washakie #1 and Weston Districts #1 and #2, respectively. The highest priced student lunch cost was $3.65 in Lincoln County District #1.
The only other Fremont County District with a lower student breakfast cost than Riverton is #6 at Pavillion where the charge is $1.00 for breakfast for elementary, middle and high school students.
