    No injuries in private plane crash at Cody Airport

    A small private plane crash-landed Saturday morning at Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody. The aircraft was occupied by a student pilot and a flight instructor, neither sustained serious injury.

    According to a Cody Enterprise report, the Piper Cub plane was affected by high wind speeds while landing on the tarmac around 10:55 a.m. Saturday, causing the plane to flip upside down before coming to rest on the northeast side of the airport building.

    Two flights into the airport were delayed due to the incident including a Delta flight from Salt Lake City and a United Express flight departing to Denver.

    The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
